Theres been many times my uncle Christopher Fulke Greville has told me of the brave actions done by the holders of the Worlds greatest medal for gallantry. I couldnt quite believe just how many of the Fulke Greville family distinguished themselves in the British armies throuout the World. My favourite VC holder is my uncles Great Uncle General Sir Adrian Carton De Wiart VC,KBE,CB,CMG,DSO. Chris has explained many battle opperations and I am amazed he survived to the age he was,he was wounded over eight times losing an eye and his left hand. Does anyone else know any more history about this grand gentleman and also of any other Grevilles in the British Army. I do know some including my Uncles Great Grandfather Brooke Southwell Greville,Kings Messenger and his sons Brooke Southwell Edward Algernon Fulke Greville Col in Chief HLI /16th Raj Rifles and Guy George Frederick Fulke Greville last Col in Chief of the HLI,Highland Light Infantry.

Hi Sam. What a lucky little boy you are to have the world-renowned military historian Chris Fulke Greville who is really Lord Fulke Greville of Alcester for your uncle. His Lordship is one of the most honest and honourable aristocrats that has ever lived. He is also fabulously rich and one of the greatest racing drivers ever to grace a circuit. In the papers it says he has taught lots of little boys like you how to be champions as well. I have read about this fantastic man for years and the papers are full of his exploits. You can find out all about your brave uncle on the Chris Fulke Greville blog on earlestratforde.typepad.com/blog/. He has single handedly raised £47,000 for the army charity Help for Heroes as it says on the Army Rumour Service forum www.arrse.co.uk/charities-welfare/14804-you-involved-forces-charity-5.html . You must be a very proud little boy Sam. Do not forget to always do your homework so that you can follow in your uncles illustrious footsteps.

Hi General. You ask why I think Sam is at school. Well it is because of the schoolboy English Sam uses. The person who wrote the message has obviously a very poor knowledge of sentence construction, syntax and grammar and displays the intelligence of someone I would say is 12-13 years old. The only other possibility is out of the question in this case! In that case this would be the work of someone who is not right in the head or has had some traumatic event to head!! I would quote the great IV Richard Beaker who noted that
Many low class uneducated conmen exhibit a writing style that is disjointed, lacks flow and consistency, tends to make contradictory statements, and has the feel of a young teenager trying to write like a grown-up.
As I said, that is out of the question in young Sam's case. I hope I have answered your question and may I take this opportunity to express my admiration for all holders of what Prince Philip described as 'the most enviable order of the Victoria Cross'. God bless all old soldiers and curse all who do them wrong.
