An unfortunate incident has occured where by the headstone of Second Lieutenant Frederick Youens has been defaced. I've been advised by a friend who visited the cemetery (Railway Dugouts Burial Ground (Transport Farm) nearby Ypres) on 13th Sept, that the headstone has since been removed.

In memory of Private Henry George BLATCHFORD, 40730, 6th Btn KOYLI. KIA 22/8/1917 age 40. Born in Somerset, lived in Bristol, Died in Belgium.

Also in memory of Stoker 1 Class, Alfred George COOLE, 148601 RN served 1889-1911 & 1914-1915. Died at home 28th August 1915.

Private Walter COOLE, 5203, 1/6th Btn Gloucestershire Reg. Died of disease 10th January 1917 on the Somme. Nephew of Alfred.
