Also in memory of Stoker 1 Class, Alfred George COOLE, 148601 RN served 1889-1911 & 1914-1915. Died at home 28th August 1915. Private Walter COOLE, 5203, 1/6th Btn Gloucestershire Reg. Died of disease 10th January 1917 on the Somme. Nephew of Alfred.

New Zealand media today reported that Fat and Thin shareholders had put the company into voluntary liquidation owing $1.4 million to creditors. Since 2006, Fat and Thin Productions has been working on a film based on the life of World War 2 double Victoria Cross recipient Captain Charles Upham. The movie hit a snag in July when pre-production on the $18 million film was halted because of lack of funds.
