I'd just like to share with you an e-mail that I've received from a relative of Smokey Smith. I won't be naming names, but she did say;
"I just found your website (which is great!). Under Smokey (Ernest Alvia) Smith's listing, your website states that the current VC's custodian is unknown. When my grandfather died in August 2005, the VC was donated to the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, which of course was Smokey's regiment. Just thought I would let you know that. All the best,...."
Needless to say, this info has since been updated.
