Looks like a posthumous VC will be awarded to Cpl Bryan BUDD........

I've checked the 10 Downing St site and the MOD, but there's nothing there at the moment. More as & when I hear.

In memory of Private Henry George BLATCHFORD, 40730, 6th Btn KOYLI. KIA 22/8/1917 age 40. Born in Somerset, lived in Bristol, Died in Belgium.

Also in memory of Stoker 1 Class, Alfred George COOLE, 148601 RN served 1889-1911 & 1914-1915. Died at home 28th August 1915.

Private Walter COOLE, 5203, 1/6th Btn Gloucestershire Reg. Died of disease 10th January 1917 on the Somme. Nephew of Alfred.

Also mentioned was a George Cross award to Cpl Mark Wright.
