Onstar, great to see you on board. You might be of help when it comes to talking about American decorations.... or maybe that'll be RT if we can get him here too Les

Les, Great to see that you have opened your own site ! I have contacted you in the past on the Mike Chapman VC site and the Dutch VC site and appreciated your help. Have the two sites I mentioned closed down now ? Looking forward to viewing your site. Well done on the Dan Burges VC memorial. Cheers, Alan.

Alan, I thought I recognised the name! Welcome aboard. The Chapter One site closed a while back, which is what made me decide to enlarge my own site and to include this forum. The Dutch/English site is still up & running but mainly frequented by the Dutch half... so the english side is often fairly quiet. Hopefully people that drop in here can mention it to others and we can get the old "Chapter One" crowd going again. Les.

Thanks Hans. This forum more of an after thought when it came to the main site. There's no intention on stepping on your toes, more hoping that we can combine both forums perhaps.
Les.

Cheers! The main site is still to be "populated" with more info & photos, but it is still early days.
As mentioned before, the Chapter One site closed a while ago so I decided to enlarge my own site and to include this forum. If you know of any of the Chapter One members that are still around, please let them know about this site.

Hello Les, It took me quite a while to get registered with you, my server kept telling me your site could not be rated and refused to let me register, apparently my anti virus. Computer whiz kid sorted it for me. Wish you all the best with your site, I hope you can pick up where Mike Chapman left off, it would be nice to see some of the old names again. Regards Robert Henry

Les Very interesting site. I am a great-nephew of Daniel Burges VC, so very many thanks for the memorial. I have been trying to collect material about him for several years, and it seems possible that he made a significant contribution to ending the war (can bore you some other time if you are interested). I live in New Zealand, and my only other VC connection is that I was nearly shot by the firing party at the funeral of Jack Elliot VC. Keep up the great work. Doiran, Welcome to the "quiet" madhouse. Things have gone quite quiet recently - everyone's trying to get over Christmas ;D I'll contact you off forum regarding Dan. Les.
